They are seeking people who have a genuine care for others and want to make a difference. As Care Assistant, you will be well organised and professional. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to show patience and empathy. Time management is important too as you will work to a schedule agreed with your clients. The role is physically demanding too.
Own use of transport and full UK driving license is required.
An NVQ 2 or 3 Care Qualification is required at all levels although people willing to study will also be considered as trainee's.
As a Care Assistant, you will be part of a team who provide the following areas of assistance:
Helping clients to get up and/or go to bed
Assisting with washing and all aspects of personal care
Make meals and assist with feeding
Shopping and banking/pension collection
Assistance with, or management of medication
A sitting service to relieve carers
Assisting service users and their families in creating a personalised care & service provision plan
Rates of pay are competitive with enhanced rates for weekend working
Travel during hours of work is paid at 35p per mile
Hourly rate £8.75 to £13 on experience.
37.5 hours per week
Hours can be flexible. Nights only/Days only.
