We have a very exciting opportunity here to join a wonderful business as they recruit for Wedding & Events Assistant to join their team.
Based near Helmsley, this is an award winning and luxury venue, very well renowned as one of Yorkshire's gems. The property is absolutely stunning, with a unique and individual style. People have been known to visit and stay from all over the world.
As the business is in a phase of growth, it is a natural process that the team grows also. Weddings and Events are very popular here and can be varied right through the year from large weddings to intimate parties, shoot parties, birthday's, corporate do's etc so lot's to get stuck into.
Are you someone who has a passion for people? do you have an ambition to have a career in Events? Are you well organised and a fabulous communicator? These are some of the strengths which are needed in this Weddings & Events Assistant role. It would be fabulous if you have some experience within events management, although it is not essential.
There will be an opportunity to progress and develop a strong and long lasting career within the business for the right person. There are many illustrations of internal staff development and progression here - you only need to talk with the people who work there now to see this.
As Weddings and Events Assistant, you will work closely with the Weddings and Events Manager, who is just lovely. You will be involved in taking enquiries via phone and email, liaising with the Restaurant and communicating clear messages to the Chef. You will fact find and take details of specific requirements, with fantastic attention to detail. You will make people feel incredibly special and valued. Some of your work will be looking after room bookings. Waiting on also. Everyone who works for this business has a 'sleeves rolled up' mentality. You work in all areas as needed - which makes you a very rounded and experienced team member. The hours can be long, especially when you have seen a wedding right through from idea to the big day - you'll be the kind of person that 'needs' to be there, to see it all fall into place.
The reward though is working with people who sing from the same page and want the best for each other - almost like a 'work family' - it really is!
Contracted hours are 45. Salary up to £23,000 basic. Plus great tips.
