Junior Sous Chef
We are working with a Hotel in York which is both Award Winning and forward thinking. Constantly creating new ways forward and innovating. They seek to recruit an experienced and passionate Junior Sous Chef.
You may be a Chef De Partie looking for your next step in your career, you may be a Junior Sous wanting to strengthen your skills and press on.
This Hotel is part of a larger group, although still independent it has it's own identity and offers autonomy to it's Kitchen brigade and encourages new ideas and creativity.
For a Junior Sous, one of the many benefits of being part of a wider group is the training and leadership and the career possibilities.
The kitchen's are very well equipped and staffed with passionate and creative Chefs. The opportunity to be involved in all areas of the business is there too, from Fine Dining and Rosettes to Catering for larger groups and working on the banqueting side. They too have a cookery school and there is scope there to have involvement here also.
An experienced Chef, you will have a background working with fresh food, volumes would be an advantage but not essential. You will have a great passion for the industry and a desire to push forward.
Experience of working all sections of the kitchen would be great too, but do not be put off applying if you have only perhaps worked a couple as Chef De Partie.
Straight shifts - 45 hour week
Salary up to £25,000 basic plus service charge
