We are recruiting for a Sous Chef for a Hotel in Filey. All Fresh food Kitchen where all dishes are created from scratch. Locally sourced ingredients too where possible.

The kitchen is very well equipped where you will work alongside an experienced and very supportive Head Chef.

The owners are very experienced in the Hospitality Industry and already run a very successful business which is well received by visitors from far and wide.

They do, however respect that this can improve with another creative in the Kitchen and so are excited to open their kitchen to a new Sous Chef who will help continue and improve on what they have.

There is scope for input with Menus and creativity. You will be an experienced Chef with a passion to progress and develop further.

Experience in GP, costings, Rota's, Hygiene etc is important. As is the attitude to grow and develop yourself and support the Head Chef with your hard working ethic and loyalty.

Salary depending on experience and up to £25,000 basic.

Some splits and straight shifts - possibly straights only.

No live in available so must be within reasonable commute and with own transport due to location.

The restaurant serves food although non accoladed, definitely to a 1 Rosette standard. Gorgeous local produce always cooked from fresh on site. A Modern British Menu with the offer of autonomy for the right Head Chef.

Food is served from 12pm to 9pm - which lends itself to excellent work/life balance too.

This role is not Paperwork heavy, the owner respects the responsibility of the Head Chef and completes most of it, The owners would rather have a Chef focus on their strengths in developing the menu and nurturing the brigade in the Kitchen than being held back in the office.

We are excited to be working with a great business close to Withernsea who is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie for their brigade of 6.
 
You will be working in a kitchen which has recently undergone refurbishment and has had £1000's invested in equipment. All fresh food kitchen and local produce where possible. The restaurant has a reputation for quality and are proud to use local suppliers to promote East Yorkshire produce whilst supporting the local community.
 
You will be supported and mentored by an experienced and passionate Head Chef who has experience in Fine Dining, Hotels and Banqueting.
 
Covers can be high volume as a lot of the custom is seasonal - Summer being the Restaurants peak time. That said, the role is full time, permanent and salaried. During the quieter periods you will have time for menu development and increasing awareness of the restaurant with demo's etc.
 
This is a business which is expanding it's outside catering arm also, so there are great opportunities for someone to grow and develop skills and exposure.
 
You will be an experienced chef with a passion for fresh produce.

We are working with a beautiful independently owned business close to Halifax who require an experienced and committed Sous Chef to support the team. With historically low staff turnover and a passion for their workforce, they need someone who is willing to work in partnership with the Head Chef and assist in leading and developing the brigade.

You will be fully supported as Sous Chef and given autonomy to work with an established team in a well equipped kitchen.

You will share responsibility for GP, HACCP, Ordering, Staff rotas, Leading and developing your team, Menu writing, dealing with suppliers, building and maintaining relationships with front of house and other areas of the business etc.

A well equipped, spacious kitchen with some well established relationships with local suppliers. All food made on site from local produce.

Ideally you will have experience at a similar level in a 1/2 Rosette property. Due to the location of the business it is essential that you have your own transport.

In an industry where quality is key and self motivation goes a long way, the brigade here need someone who will become part of the kitchen team and grow with them.

This is a business which truly values it's staff and appreciates that they are the key to success. Recently trialing the 4 on 3 off shift, illustrates that staff happiness comes as a high priority to them.

98% of the food is made onsite from fresh local produce. The kitchen is well equipped and a nice size. Well staffed too with 7 in the current brigade.

Staff retention here is some of the lowest I have encountered within hospitality. Here, the kitchen team have been with them from 4 years to 6 years. A testament to their belief in their people.

Straight shifts. Salary up to £21k depending on experience. You will need transport due to location.
